About Impulse
Our mission is to provide our students with a fun and caring environment by giving them opportunities to grow physically and mentally. Here at IDA we believe in giving every student quality instruction and positive reinforcement. Dance is an outlet that can help people develop skills outside of technique; such as responsibility, discipline, teamwork, confidence, self-expression, relaxation and promote health in a social environment. We realize that our lives can be difficult to manage at times, but we want our studio to be a place for our dancers to relieve stress in a healthy way. Instructors are dedicated to helping our students reach their full potential and recognizing each sign of progress along the way. It is important to Impulse Dance Academy that our students grow technically, have compassion for one another, and have fun!
Our Recreational Team
Our Recreational Team focuses more on learning the basics of dance and having fun! ​Our recreational students can take as many (or as little) classes as they would like and are not required to take technique classes. They perform twice a year at our Christmas Show and Summer Recital! This is a great introduction to the dance world to prepare them for the Competitive Team. Ages 18 months and up are welcome!
Our Competitive Team
Our Competitive Team focuses more on improving our technical skills, strengthening, flexibility, and performance. We participate in multiple technique classes each week that cover our core dance genres. The Competitive team performs in two regional competitions every year as well as Nationals every other year. Working as a team and supporting one another is our number one goal. We compete to grow together physically and mentally as dancers and as compassionate human beings.
