Our Competitive Team
Our Competitive Team focuses on improving our technical skills, strengthening, flexibility, and performance. We participate in multiple technique classes each week that cover our core dance genres. The Competitive team performs in two regional competitions every year as well as Nationals every other year. Working as a team and supporting one another is our number one goal. We compete to grow together physically and mentally as dancers and as compassionate human beings.

Competitive Team Categories
Mini-Company: Age 6-8
Junior Company: Age 8-13
Teen Company: Age 11-15
Senior Company: Age 13-19

Competitive Team Placements are a way for Impulse to find each dancer's skill level and interest so we can place them in groups and dances they would best excel in! Dancers are not cut from the team. There is no pressure– it is just a chance to see what the competition team is all about and ask questions.

All dancers committing to the Competitive Team for the upcoming season are required to participate in our dance intensive on Tuesday, July 22 and Thursday July, 24 from 5pm-8pm.
